Ingredients
- 500g porridge oats
- 150ml whole milk
- 4 tsp cacao powder, 40g
- 100g sugar
- 150g butter
- 100g milk chocolate chips
- 60g desiccated coconut
Method

Place the desiccated coconut in a small bowl and set aside.

In a pan, combine the butter, milk, sugar, cocoa powder, and chocolate chips.

Heat gently, stirring until everything is melted and forms a smooth mixture.
Put the porridge oats in a large mixing bowl.

Pour the chocolate mixture over the porridge oats and stir with a spatula until the oats are evenly coated.

Using your hands, pick up and shape a portion of the mixture into golf ball-sized balls.
Wet your hands slightly to prevent the mixture from sticking and to make shaping the balls easier.

Roll each ball in the desiccated coconut to coat thoroughly.
I managed to make 35, but the quantity will vary depending on the size of the balls you shape.

Once formed and coated, place the balls in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours to set.
They taste best at room temperature, but keep them stored in the fridge until ready to serve.
