Ingredients
- 120g Rice Krispies cereals
- 80g porridge oats
- 50g raisins
- 80g coconut oil (measured in solid form)
- 40g light brown sugar
- 60g golden syrup what is?
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
If you don’t have golden syrup, you can use runny honey as a substitute.
Method

Start by melting together coconut oil, brown sugar, and golden syrup in a small saucepan.

For an added burst of flavour, add cinnamon and mix until thoroughly combined.

Get a large mixing bowl and put Rice Krispies cereals, porridge oats and raising together.

Mix well dry ingredients then add your liquid mixture and mix using a spatula.
Use baking paper to line the base of a baking tray.
A 21 cm square baking tin with a removable bottom is ideal for this recipe, though any baking tray will work.

Pour the Rice Krispie treats mixture into the prepared baking tin.

Press firmly with a potato masher to create an even layer.

Chill in the fridge for 2 hours.

Once chilled, lift the bars from the tin using the removable bottom and put the block onto a chopping board.

Cut into bars of your desired size and enjoy!
