Ingredients
- 225 g plain flour, plus extra for dusting
- 175 g butter, at room temperature
- 75 g white granulated sugar
Method

Combine the ingredients and knead them into a dough. If the dough is too sticky, add a small amount of flour.

Kneading is the process of working dough by pressing, folding, and stretching it to develop gluten, which gives the pastry its structure and elasticity.

Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in cling film, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Lightly flour your work surface, then knead the chilled dough again, adding a bit more flour if needed to prevent sticking.
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin.

Cut out shapes using your chosen biscuit cutters.
I was able to make about 50 biscuits, but the amount will vary depending on the size of your cutter.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place the biscuits on it.

Bake for about 10 minutes on the middle shelf in the oven.
Let them cool completely, then decorate however you like.

Store in an airtight container.
