Ingredients
- 3 sandwich baguettes
- 2 large tomatoes
- 100g Italian salami
- 2 mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp of Dry Italian herbs
For Garlic Butter
- 2-3 tbsp soft spread butter
- 1 garlic clove
- a pinch of salt
- a pinch of black pepper
For Garnish
- a few sprigs of fresh basil leaves
- 20g of Parmesan
Method

Preheat the oven to between 180–190°C. Prepare a baking tray and line it with baking parchment.
Let’s start by making the garlic butter.
Mince the garlic and mix it with the butter. Season with salt and pepper, then set aside.
For the garnish:
Grate the Parmesan cheese and set aside.
Meanwhile, chop some fresh basil.
Let’s make our sandwiches.
Wash the tomatoes and slice them thinly.
Drain the mozzarella and cut it into thin slices.
Slice the baguettes lengthwise.
Spread a thin layer of garlic butter on each baguette.

Arrange alternating slices of tomato, salami, and mozzarella on top.
Sprinkle with Italian herbs.
Repeat the same process with the remaining baguettes and ingredients.
I managed to make six of them from these ingredients.

Place them onto the baking tray.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the baguettes are crispy and the mozzarella has melted.

Once baked, sprinkle each baguette with a portion of grated Parmesan and the chopped basil.

Serve and enjoy!
