Simple Plum Tart

This easy-to-prepare plum tart is made with a buttery crust, a layer of juicy, slightly sour plums, and a hint of cinnamon flavour. It is perfect for a quick mid-week dessert.

Ingredients
- 70 g of butter, fridge temperature
- 200g of self-raising flour how to?
- 30g of sugar
- 100ml of milk, fridge temperature
- 400g of fresh tree plums
Glaze
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- 1 tbsp of butter
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
Method
Wash the plums and dry them, then halve and remove the stone.
Preheat the oven to 180C.
Prepare the tart tin and lightly grease it with butter.
In this recipe, I used the tart tin with a removable base with a diameter of 22cm.

Let’s make a dough.
Place butter, flour, sugar and milk into a bowl.
Using your hand combine all ingredients making a soft dough. If the dough is too sticky add some more flour.
Tip the dough into the tin and place it evenly over the tin and fluted sides. Your base is ready!

Arrange the plums over the prepared base of the tart.
Let’s make a glaze.
To make the glaze, melt the butter, add sugar and cinnamon and mix to combine.

Brush the plums with the glaze.

Put into the oven and bake at 25 minutes, until the bottom is golden and plums juicy and soft.

You can serve it with ice cream, or custard or just dusted with powdered sugar.
