Easy Wholemeal Waffles

Here is my recipe for sugar-free wholemeal waffles. They are a perfect and easy addition to a diet, and they taste great with sweet toppings or as an addition to ordinary meals.

cuisine: American
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1½ cups of warm milk
- ⅓ cup of oil
- 150g of all-purpose flour
- 150g strong wholemeal flour
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1 tsp of salt
- oil, for greasing
Method
Preheat the waffle maker according to the instructions.
Brush the surfaces with the oil to avoid sticking the waffles.
Separate the whites from the yolks into two bowls.
Place the whites into the mixing bowl.
Add a pinch of salt and beat to a stiff foam using a hand mixer at high speed.
Take the second bowl and place with the egg yolks, oil, lukewarm milk, baking powder, 1tbsp of salt and both flours.
Using a hand mixer whisk until all ingredients are combined.
The dough should be thick and sticky.
Gently add whipped egg whites and mix by hand using a wooden spoon.
Pour the batter into a waffle iron in batches and cook until crisp golden brown.
Baking time depends on the power of the waffle maker.
Enjoy.
