  • 750g beef-pork mince
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp of bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp of cornflour
  • salt, for taste
  • black pepper, for taste
  • dried marjoram, for taste
  • ground paprika, for taste
  • a handful of fresh parsley

Method #

Preheat the oven to 180C.

Line tray with baking paper.

Chop finely the onion and parsley.

Crush the garlic.

Place all ingredients into a large bowl with seasonings and mix them thoroughly with your hand until all combined.

Transfer to a baking tray and pat down until level. Sprinkle with ground paprika and marjoram on top.

Cover the top with aluminium foil or baking paper and bake for 1 hour.

15 minutes before the end remove aluminium foil or baking paper from the top and bake to create a nice, brown and crispy top.

Tips #

To make it a traditional Polish Roman Roast, hard-boil 2-3 eggs and stuff them into your meatloaf before baking.
